The mechanical engineering program is an exciting addition to Dixie State University. The recently approved program offers a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering starting Fall 2018. Mechanical engineering is the broadest engineering discipline that covers design & manufacturing, robotics, dynamics & controls, thermofluid sciences, solid mechanics, and materials science. This program will help serve the increasing demand for technological talent in the southern Utah area.

The program follows the DSU tagline of “Active Learning, Active Life” with a hands-on approach to education. Working with Dixie Tech, industry, and other DSU departments, the mechanical engineering program will offer students an immersive program that will prepare them to excel in the workplace.
